BRAND DESIGN
Atelier Notburga
The recently graduated fashion designer Pauline Notburga started her Atelier in Amsterdam in 2020. With her first collection this year a redesign of its branding was due. A main characteristic in her brand personality is the emphasis of the feminine and the divine and the other-worldly.
Atelier Notburgas design is an attempt at creating something fun while still sticking to neutrals. The whimsical essence of her brand and personality is combined with a timeless and sophisticated look. With graphic and 3D elements the imagery is enhanced and implements the brand design on different media.
Her debut collection 'Returning to Venus' aims to embody Venus as a world beyond space and time to remembering and rewilding our forgotten feminine essence, feeling into the connection to the planet named after her. Venus, the goddess of the feminine beauty, as a metaphor to remember a time before the witch-hunts, the rise of christianity and patriarchy, a time not connected to judgement and shame but rather nature, community and empowerment. The goal of the artist is to continue the true Venusian essence with her Textiles and Designs, celebrating and remembering who we as feminine beings really are.
